1996 Polaris Xplorer 400 Wiring Diagram

1996 Polaris Xplorer 400 Wiring Diagram – Hey, I’m the second or third owner of a 1996 Polaris Explorer 400. The speedometer shows about 789 miles, but I don’t know if I can trust it. I was on a regular diet this summer. I changed all the spark plug and spark plug fluids and everything was working fine until three days ago.

I was driving a 4×4 in the snow and noticed that the throttle was sticking, so I grabbed some penetrating oil and sprayed the outside of the housing linkage at the point just above the thumb linkage.

The bike started to crumble a little and died. I tried to get it running again and it was running at full throttle but it wouldn’t idle and kept dying. I took the ATV to the shop and removed the gas cap and noticed that the building water in the house had collapsed ETC. So I sprayed it with water and cleaned the air line and went to start the bike and still nothing.

Full throttle will run really rough for a while, but the moment you let off the throttle, the motorcycle dies. I maintain compression with my throat completely open. I was consistently getting 110 PSI at 100 PSI off throttle. He just got loaded with carbs, but that could definitely mean mourning.

By factory settings, it has one output for the air screw and one and a half turns for the tensioner. I have a really good blue rainbow spark, but I still can’t get this wheel to come to an idea.

I mean, etc… There’s no way to get the spark off at idle so I can port it or try to see what’s going on. Any ideas would be helpful as I said the 20 year old MTB was racing and before that it was running great.

I don’t have the wiring diagram for the ’96, but on the 2001 it looks like the black wire in the right handlebar cluster is what to look for. If there is continuity between black and brown etc. He looks guilty. Maybe the liquid you sprayed is conductive and blocking the circuit.

In position 2 or 3 – rightmost button or clockwise button – this connects the red wire to the red/black wire

The problem is this: I don’t have the power to do anything else in the block distribution. The start button does nothing. I have no lights, not even power from the power supply to any wire going to the start button or light switch.

The 4 wires coming from the option harness on the right side of the engine are connected and don’t seem to lead anywhere.

The switch connects red to red/black in the on position and connects to black or brown in the off position

I’m assuming the red/black is a way to reduce the web to web starter/light etc?

Return the purple wires to the mine. (1 for the selector lever, 1 for the warning lights) were placed in the empty slots in the lower right corner of the diagram. However, there is another pink (pale purple?) wire attached to it. This wire goes to the cluster that we initially send the buttons and light transition) Is it also connected to this transition or where does it go? What if that wire also needed to be bent back to that cluster?

The gray/white wire going to the junction closest to the purple junction – ie. front drive – must be connected to the white/gray wire of the override switch and the gray/w of the AWD switch

I didn’t follow the purple wire connection – I don’t know what you want in the empty holes on the right – the bar on the right is connected to all the ground connections. I have attached the wiring diagram – maybe it will help

Sorry, I meant to go to the bottom of your menu. The purple spots went to the left of the opposite side. I’ll move them to the right.

Ignition Switch Key For Polaris Xplorer 400 1995 / Scrambler 400 4×4 1995

Latebird said: Ok – let me know your progress. Click to expand… I have a great question for you. I have a 2004 Polaris Scrambler 500 4×4 if I send you all the pictures. I’m in Dyer’s help with this please I bought this on FB so do you know someone who travels with it I bought a bunch of new parts because the only thing left is to fix the battery and burn the cable and bendix if I want to start with the key can anyone know what to do please help me if i send them a picture and they guide me i think there is something missing but i don’t know what

I removed all the lights and the power arm but there is no spark on the spark plug or coil and they are plugged into the bendix stator socket the starter solenoid switch get the coil key

This thread is older, you can’t get a reply and you can update the old thread. Please consider creating a new topic. A friend just gave me a 1996 Scrambler 400 4X4 that won’t start. He said he ran a month ago but died while his son was riding. When the start button is pressed, the starter solenoid makes a single “click”. Cleaned all battery/solenoid connections, then tried re-starting the button…same results, solenoid “clicks”. Polaris installed the battery last year and we had it on the charger while we cleaned all the connections so the battery was fully charged during our test. Yes, it’s normal to be able to pull the starter if the battery was heavy, but what’s stuck now and we can’t pull the starter?

Are you saying the device was stolen or something else? Will the chains and rear wheels still be able to spin when the Scrambler is pushed from the stern if the engine jams?

We tried blowing the solenoid with two emergency plates but couldn’t even get a spark. Is this a better way to do it?

Also, I can’t see any pictures online that show the starter solenoid wire connections (ie: from battery/to starter, object…). I wonder if the wires are the correct messages on the electromagnet after connecting. All wire connections are cleaned. I didn’t see any marks on the solenoid itself.

Can anyone post a picture of the starter/battery connections for a 1996 Scrambler 400 4×4 I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes, you will be able to knock it out in style. Conclusion from the beginning of the cartoon. Although it can also be a traveler, but it worked before, didn’t it?

Run the jumper cables from the battery to the jumper post. Neg has a good body on the ground and sets up the starter. Simply press on the end of the rod with the red rope to determine whether the starter pulls or not. Otherwise the launcher and/or bendix will freeze.

He doesn’t run, he throws the ball to him, he throws, but he doesn’t start. I don’t have a destined spark. Ohm stepped off the stand and fired the coil. The stator seemed to be within spec – I think it was around 225-250 ohms.. double check. The trigger coil was open. Replace the trigger coil with a rmstator part from Amazon. Reading 110-115 ohms. The same story has no spark. I don’t seem to have any voltage at the ignition angle. CDI black/black red wire resistance
