Iei Keypad Wiring Diagram – 1 Functions and Programming Guide Command and Control Door Guard Series Command and Control Keypads provide a field-reliable and cost-effective solution wherever control or limited access is required. Designed to individually control up to four units, Door-Guard Command and Control Series Keypads are the perfect choice for controlling electric locks, security systems, automated workers or machines. The door guard is powered from a 12 volt or 24 volt AC/DC power source. One Year Programming Programming is done entirely from the front of the keyboard. Programming is easy with LED or buzzer guides, and authorized users code changes in seconds. The door guard command and control keypad codes accept up to 120 valid individual user codes. Codes can be 1-6 digits long and numbers can be repeated. The master code is always assigned to user location 1. Main Relay This is an 8 amp (10 amp boost) Form-C relay that can be coded or timed from 1 to 90 seconds. Auxiliary Outputs Auxiliary outputs can be individually timed from 1 second to 90 seconds or actuated as a key switch and can be turned on individually or in combination with a code. The Ruggedized (R), Sealed Environmental (Se), Multipad and Extreme styles provide this output as a 1 amp Form-C relay, while all other styles provide a negative voltage output with a 50 mA sink. Remote Trigger Input (REX) This is by default a normally open loop that, when activated, will actuate the main relay and can be programmed to trigger any combination of outputs. Outputs selected for temporary shutdown are active for the programmed amount of time. The main relay (if selected) turns on simultaneously with the main code. This feature is especially useful when controlling electric locks. Keypress Feedback/Command Series Guard and Audio Keypress Control confirms a keypress by temporarily turning on a yellow LED as in (i) or by sounding a momentary buzzer in a closed environment (se). It can be turned off programmatically. The command series saver and active keyboard output control can be programmed to activate the voltage output whenever a key is touched. It can be used to alert auxiliary devices such as lights, CCTV or security. This output is not available when using the IEI 250 printer interface. Auto-entry This function is used when it is necessary not to follow the code with the * key. Users only need to enter a code number to activate the relay for the programmed relay time. To use this feature, your code must be the same as your original code. Audit Trail * Detailed, real-time audit trail can be provided by any Command & Control series protector with an optional Model 250 printer interface. The 250 can monitor up to 8 keyboards simultaneously. Comes with a 250V power supply and printer cable and can be easily connected to any parallel line printer (not included). * This option is not available for all keyboard styles. 2 1 2 Keyboard Test 1. Connect the positive (+) lead of the power supply to the +V input of the terminal strip (TS1). 2. Connect the negative (-) wire of the power supply to the terminal strip input (TS1)-V. 3. Turn on the power supply. 4. Dial *7890#123456. When all 12 keystrokes are confirmed, the keyboard goes into self-test mode. The LED will flash or the buzzer will sound 3 times, followed by a continuous light or sound for 3 seconds (except mullions). If it does not respond, retry test mode and then contact technical support. Note: Self-test mode can be used to troubleshoot keyboard issues in the field. If there is still no light or sound, the memory is corrupt and must be reprogrammed using command 46 (see option 19). 5. Enter the original code *1234. Trigger the Gizeh relay. To program your keyboard, see the Programming section. Note: The keypad can be programmed in the store or at the installation location. The programmed information is stored in non-volatile memory so that it is not lost in the event of a power failure. Command and Control Defaults Door-Guard series command and control keypads are designed for easy installation with minimal time required. These are factory programmed defaults. Main Code (User 1) 1234 The main relay turns on as an auxiliary output for 5 seconds, activating the panic output for 5 seconds.
