Pottery Barn Paint Colors Benjamin Moore

Pottery Barn Paint Colors Benjamin Moore – Last week, I shared with you that our first project of the year was a small kitchen makeover. The picture will be the biggest part of the transition. Our kitchen has white cabinets, black granite and salty green on the walls. I can’t wait to paint the walls white. I think it will work much better with black tiles.

So today, I’m sharing my favorite and tested white paint colors. I’ve had the opportunity to choose paint colors for a lot of design projects, and these whites have always been my favorites.

White Dove is a beautiful warm white. It has several shades of gray making it a soft creamy white but without the yellow/white color. It is a great color for walls, moldings and cabinets.

Simply White is the color we paint in the downstairs bathroom and I love it. It was named color of the year in 2016 and I think it’s one of the most versatile whites. This white paint is warm without being too yellow, sharp without being too blue/speckled. It gives a fresh, clean look and is perfect if you’re having a hard time deciding.

Decoration White is true white. It’s a bit gray to soften the colors, but overall it’s a real pure white paint. I use it most often for decorations or cabinets.

We have plaster in our living room and it is a beautiful, warm and cozy white. It is very similar to the Benjamin Moore White Pigeon. It’s not too yellow and looks great next to the bright white trim. It is also a common color used for a boat.

White Cloud is a soft, warm white that sits between White Dove and Simply White. It has a neutral tone that makes it very versatile. This color can be used for your walls, moldings, and even ceilings.

Pure White is a crisp white with just a hint of warmth, which makes it perfect if you’re looking for a true white that’s not blue/dark. This color is perfect for cabinets if you go into a white kitchen. It is also ideal for walls and moldings.

Ren Chantilly is another real white with a hint of blue, giving it a fresh, clean look. It has a brighter white color, so it is very suitable in a room that uses cold tones in the overall decoration.

Now that I’ve shared my favorites, the hard part is choosing. These are the tips I use for myself and my clients.

1. Narrow down your options. I like to collect a bunch of colors and then narrow it down to 3-4 choices. More options than that would be overwhelming and make it difficult to make a decision.

2. The next step can be done in three ways. If you don’t mind painting patches of color on the walls, you can paint any 3 colors you want in a number of different places in your space. An even better option would be to order large samples from Samplize.

Samplize is an online retailer that offers peel-and-stick paint samples painted with actual paint colors. This allows you to see what the actual colors will look like without damaging the walls. You can save on all the paint buckets with no cleanup or waste.

Another option is to paint the designs onto a large sheet of foam and move it around your space. The goal is to see how colors look at different times of day and in different amounts of light.

3. Another important thing you need to keep in mind when choosing paint is gloss. I usually paint eggshell for the walls, satin or semi-gloss for the walls, and plain for the ceiling. Lighting can affect the appearance of colors, so it’s important to determine this before choosing a model.

For my kitchen project, I narrowed it down to Simply White, Alabaster, Cloud White, White Dove. Let me know your favorites in the comments. We should start this article by simply saying thank you. So now that it’s settled, check out one of our favorite DIY furniture renovations we’ve done. Yes, it’s just a desk chair, and yes it’s an easy DIY project and the colors are definitely nothing new (though we really couldn’t have liked the white any more), but we do like it. final result. a lot, and that’s mainly because that’s exactly what we had in mind when we started the project. Still a win on our books.

Lately, we’ve been obsessed with all things sugarcane, and we’ve been particularly focused on pairing a white chair frame (bend or not) with natural cane. There’s something about contrast that’s so refreshing and exciting. And while we’re not quite ready to embark on a full Shed outdoor office makeover, I saw this curved table with rattan chair on OfferUp while searching for rattan dining chairs and I knew right away it was. is my next project. , although it will only improve desktop space slightly. I’ve been using an old pink plastic office chair from college for over a decade because it works great (in fact, I’m telling you) so the upgrade is long overdue. That is so that.

Since I had a lot of inspiration for chairs with a white frame and natural cane back, we knew exactly how we wanted to transform this chair: sandblasting, cane stripping with precision, paint the frame with a beautiful coat of white paint, and BAM! Nice new office.

Sure, there were a few bumps in the making, but wouldn’t this be one of our DIY projects if not? No. No, it won’t. First, we had to drive about 40 minutes at dawn on a Saturday morning to get to this chair in a rather tricky part of town. I won’t go into too much detail, but our interaction with the seller was hilarious and humorous, but thankfully the chair was absolutely perfect and as good a find as I thought it would be. there are no major structural defects and everything mechanically works as it should. Then, after all our prep work on the chair (which we detail in the steps below), we decided we were ready to shoot and would go with our standard brightness. standard. white spray paint. We don’t often go the spray paint route anymore, but we’ve found it to be our top pick and the glossy white will give us the look we want. Naturally, when I wake up in the morning after painting, I hate the color. It’s too white. Extremely sterile. Not cute at all. I also realize it doesn’t match the white of my Pottery Barn office, and that’s not good. And yes, I absolutely should have thought about incorporating the white of the desk in the planning part of this project, but I was so excited about the chair and getting to work that of course I skipped the aspect. there. Pottery Barn doesn’t sell its paint colors, so we’ll have to find this one ourselves. After some research, it looks like some of our DIY friends have encountered the same thing. Pottery Barn’s “Antique White” color (office color) was a challenge to combine and decided on two colors that were a pretty perfect match: “Mascarpone” by Benjamin Moore and “Creamy” by Sherwin Williams. There have been strong arguments for both, and from different points of view, I think both can be perfect. So I sampled both colors to make sure I found one that I absolutely love and that looks perfect with our desk in our office lighting. Winner: “Creamy” by Sherwin Williams. Honestly, I really think Mascarpone is probably a better fit (as you can see in the photo), but Creamy is almost perfect and I just like the overall color a little better. Benjamin Moore “Mascarpone” is a bit more yellow than “Creamy” as you can see, but not too much. It is always a beautiful white blank. But
